When I’m one hundred and one, my skin’ll be bumpy. Though WHEN I GROW UP appeared in a song that went to Broadway, it originated in England.When I’m thirty-five, I’ll have a big brain. This song is of kids turning yearning into self empowerment. It immediately latched on and made me WANT (need) to sing it. When I originally listened to the Matilda musical soundtrack, this song stuck with me.

I stumbled on the pre-order for this a few weeks ago and it just arrived today, thanks to a Tuckahoe Elemenary School PTA grant. Music is a language all it’s own (using symbols to represent sounds). In doing this, it is fun to remind kids that music is not just something we enjoy listening to.
