El propósito del estudio consistió en conocer la realidad de la práctica escolar llevada a cabo por los maestros sobre la incidencia de la percepción y estimulación auditiva en el aula de Educación Infantil. Además, se presenta un estudio realizado con los maestros del colegio público Foro Romano de Cuarte de Huerva, Zaragoza. Se tiene en cuenta el desarrollo auditivo en los primeros años de vida, los modos de audición según las perspectivas psicológica, pedagógica y de algunos compositores que han realizado incursiones en la enseñanza de la música así como la educación musical y el desarrollo del lenguaje, estableciendo sus relaciones. We propose the Therapeutic Music Capacities Model (TMCM), which links individual properties of music to therapeutic mechanisms, leading to cognitive, psychosocial, behavioral and motor benefits. Specifically, in its various forms, music can be engaging, emotional, physical, personal, social and persuasive, and it promotes synchronization of movement. Here we discuss seven properties or 'capacities' of music that interact with brain function and contribute to its therapeutic value. Music has cognitive, psychosocial, behavioral and motor benefits for people with neurological disorders such as dementia, stroke, Parkinson's disease and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Moreover, data surrounding the benefits of the music therapy intervention protocol in the improvement of cognitive processes and the relationship with previous literature that found positive results with this type of intervention are discussed.
